Before you start (2-minute checklist)
1) Confirm your Microsoft account

2) Check your internet + storage
Office installers can be large. Use stable Wi‑Fi/Ethernet and ensure enough free storage before starting.
3) Avoid third‑party installers
Only download Office using your Microsoft account on the official Microsoft website. This prevents unsafe downloads and activation errors.
4) Remove older versions if needed
If Office is already installed and broken, a clean uninstall usually fixes “apps not opening” and “stuck at 90%”.
